2025 - Celebrating Pearl - 25 Years of Light & Legacy
In 2025, marking 25 years since her passing, Celebrating Pearl became an emotional and intimate reunion. Friends, family, students, and artists spanning five decades came together in an evening filled with music, stories, shared meals, laughter, and heartfelt tributes.
Original cast members of Godspell — including Dalip Tahil, Sabira Merchant, Sharon Prabhakar, Karla Singh, Shahriyar Atai, Merlin D’Souza, Farid Currim, Marianne D’Cruz Aiman, Lisa Rodrigues, and others — performed once again, filling the room with nostalgia and timeless energy.
Special moments included Marianne D’Cruz Aiman singing Pearl’s favourite hymn “Amazing Grace”, and Lisa Rodrigues rendering “Summertime,” a song close to Pearl’s heart.
Joined by family, friends, and generations of students, the evening was not just a remembrance but a living tribute — one that reaffirmed Pearl’s enduring gift: her ability to bring people together through love, mentorship, and the magic of theatre.

2015 — Celebrating Pearl The Giant Pixie
Raëll Padamsee’s ACE Productions, in association with NCPA and The Theatre Group, presented “Celebrating Pearl — The Giant Pixie”, a grand theatrical showcase paying tribute to Pearl’s finest works.
Excerpts were performed from her iconic musicals, Godspell and The Wiz, and productions, such as Betrayal, Mass Appeal, The Serpent, Taming of the Shrew, and many more.
The star-studded cast featured Alyque Padamsee, Gerson da Cunha, Sabira Merchant, Vijay Crishna, Farrokh Mehta, Sharon Prabhakar, Karla Singh, Ronnie Screwvala, Zarina Mehta, Dalip Tahil, Devieka Bhojwani, Cyrus Broacha, Kunal Vijayakar, Farid Currim, Delna Mody, Deven Khote, Shahriyar Atai, Neal Murray, Kavita Sahni, Advait Hazrat, and Marianne Aiman D’Cruz — all of whom had shared the stage or life with Pearl.
It was a night that celebrated not only her artistry but also the generations she inspired and mentored.

2010 — Celebrating Pearl - A Decade of Remembrance
Ten years after Pearl Padamsee’s passing, friends, family, students, and the theatre community gathered for the first time to celebrate her remarkable life and legacy. The intimate gathering was filled with personal stories, laughter, spontaneous performances, and heartfelt memories that reflected Pearl’s vibrant spirit.
Her passion for mentoring, her devotion to the craft of theatre, and her deep personal connections with so many lives were lovingly remembered. This first remembrance planted the seed for an ongoing tradition of honouring Pearl’s creative legacy — one that continues to inspire, nurture, and grow.
