Junoon is a 1978 Hindi historical drama directed by Shyam Benegal and produced by Shashi Kapoor. Set during the Indian Rebellion of 1857, the film follows Javed Khan (Shashi Kapoor), a Muslim feudal lord obsessed with Ruth Labadoor (Nafisa Ali), a young British girl seeking protection along with her mother, Miriam Labadoor (Jennifer Kendal).

Pearl Padamsee appears as Mrs. Munro, a fellow British expatriate caught in the chaos. The film also features powerful performances by Shabana Azmi as Javed’s wife Firdaus and Naseeruddin Shah as Sarfaraz Khan.
