Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love is a 1996 historical romance directed by Mira Nair, inspired by Wajida Tabassum’s short story “Utran.” Set in 16th-century India, it follows Maya (Indira Varma), a servant whose friendship with Princess Tara (Sarita Choudhury) turns into rivalry when both become entangled with King Raj Singh (Naveen Andrews).
